Slope Converter: Pitch, Percent, Angle and Ratio

Convert slope between roof pitch (x/12), percent grade, degrees, 1:n ratio and rise over run. Useful for ramps, roofs and site grading.

How to use

  1. Choose how you want to enter the slope: Pitch, Rise/Run, %, ° or 1:X.
  2. Type the value. The other forms are shown below, with a diagram.
  3. Pitch is the rise per 12 of run (a 6 in 12 roof is 6). 1:X is the run per unit of rise (a 1:12 ramp is 12).
Pitch 66 in 12 roof = 50% = 26.57°
1:X 121:12 ramp = 8.33% = 4.76°
% 22% grade = 1:50 = 1.15°
